S’archittu Beach
It is a rock that forms an arch 15 meters high, the remains of a natural cave, corroded by the sea waves.
The rock is made of ivory white limestone that slopes towards the sea in a very suggestive way that reminds of lunar landscapes and that in windy days attracts people to see the waves crashing on the rocks. In winter and spring, during the week ends, it becomes one of the favourite destination for the Oristano people that go there to walk when Nature becomes the absolute protagonist: while sea and wind are masters in winter, colors explode and the sky shines on the sea in spring.
Nearby there is Is Arenas beach, about 5,500 kms long, backed by a pine forest of about 800 hectars.
