The Guest House Prama ‘e Mari
The Guest House Prama and Mari was started for several reasons:
Caterina and Gianni have always been open minded and welcoming and have always wanted to dedicate their time to share their experience and convey love for their land.
They would be happy to recommend the most enchanting places and secluded corners of the magnificent beaches of the WEST COSTA and PENISOLA DEL SINIS, the most interesting areas of historical, archaeological and environmental interest, where local culture and traditions are still vivid and where you can taste delicious and genuine dishes.
Oristano has its peculiarity: the beaches are still free and wild, as only a few coastal areas are built, so you can have the opportunity of a holiday with the utmost relaxation and freedom, enjoying the Sea with its crystal, clear waters and white and clean sands, all day till the sunset over the sea.
The beach of Torregrande is about 5 minutes away with the tree-lined promenade and the pine forest 6 km long, and we are 15-20 minutes from the beaches of San Giovanni, Maimone, Is Arutas, Mari Ermi, Sa Rocca Tunda, and 20 minutes from Putzu Idu, from where the boats to the island of Mal di Ventre leave.
Coming back home the guests will take an invigorating shower and have an appetizer, based on some home-made products, sipping Vernaccia or other local wines. Then they may complete their going round with a dinner in the Oristano square, listening to the music of local groups, or in secluded places in the seafront locations such as Torregrande, San Giovanni or S’Archittu.
The Guest House has three rooms whose names are those of some of the most beautiful beaches of our territory: “Is Arutas” (“The Caves”, famous for its quartz sand),” Maimone” (whose name seems to come from the Nuragic Sardinian and means “water deity”), and “S’Archittu” (The Bow) Cuglieri beach.
Is Arutas: raw wood elements, made out of an old door coming from the family house, patiently worked by Gianni, make the room warm and welcoming, simple but with a touch of elegance.
Maimone: the headboard, created by Caterina, is there to be read as it is made of some of the comic books of Gianni’s Tex Willer collection, that gives the room a joyful and youthful note.
These two rooms have a shared bathroom, equipped with shower, bathtub, double washbasin, hairdryer and courtesy service.
Another bathroom is located on the lower floor.
